Lisa Perez is sitting on her sofa and opening a new presentation on her iPad. At this time she sees her students Tony’s smiling face and the cover of Harry Potter and the Philosoper’s Stone. Lisa starts playing the presentation. Tony greets Lisa personally. He tells why he chose the book and how long did he spent time reading it. Tony has made a three-slide presentation where he presents the main points of the book’s content. As the slides change, the video presentation progresses consistently through the three main points of the book and when two minutes have passed Tony ends his presentations recommending the book for everyone who like fantasy.
Tony’s presentation is one of the 22 presentations. A week ago Lisa gave her students a homework in which they had to choose one book, read it and create a short video presentation about it with Movenote.
Lisa’s school is one of the many schools that have started to use Movenote this spring. ”The greatest feature in this presentation is that you don’t have to learn how to use it.. Everyone has some kind of device in their pocket or at home with Google’s services; Gmail and Drive.”

"What used to be done in a classroom is now being done in front of a camera".
Movenote has revolutionized our communication with a student and a teacher, says Berit Peltonen, Lecturer, School of Business, Aalto University.
With Aalto University’s degree reform, Aalto focuses more on independent studying. Thus, the hours of contact teaching were reduced.
"I’ve solved the resource problem with a video presentation software. My students create presentations during the course and share them with me and the rest of the course to grade and comment. This really has been an essential tool in a lack of resources.”
Present your documents with video.
The idea of Movenote is that you can combine a video and a slideshow smoothly. This allows you to record a presentation at home and send i to the teacher by e-mail. The importance lies in ease of use. Creating a Movenote presentation can be as easy as writing a regular e-mail, and the service is compatible with Gmail, iPhone and iPad, among others.
Movenote is free for educational institutes but the developers of the service will publish different kind of extra features, which schools are happy to pay for.

About Movenote in short:
Movenote is a tech start-up from Helsinki Finland and offers its service in the desktop and now also as a mobile app. The most important feature of the desktop version at the moment is its integration to Google which was published at the end of last year. The integration enables the user to upload documents directly from Google Drive and share the video presentations from Gmail. Movenote is available from the Google Marketplace as well as the Chrome Web Store where in february it was mentioned as the fastest growing business app. In addition, every day more than a dozen new educational institutions or schools start to use Movenote.
